Afro or Kinky hair

These products are great for people of African or Fijian descent.  I.e. those with type 4A, 4B or 4C natural hair.

Top tips for this hair type

• Moisture, moisture, moisture!  Moisturise daily with a liquid, oil and cream (LOC method).  You can use Kings & Queens Comb Out Conditioning Spray (liquid), Natural Coconut Oil (oil), Kings & Queens Leave in Cream Moisturiser (cream) for this process.
• If you like wearing your hair in an Afro, add some Kings & Queens Gel Activator for the extra moisture.
• Detangle your hair with your fingers, small section at a time on wet hair.  Don’t rip through your hair with a comb.  Use a moisturiser to provide slip and allow you to detangle easier.
• If your hair is long enough, wash your hair in large braided sections to avoid knotting.
• Deep condition your hair regularly.  Dark & Lovely Cholesterol Treatment is a great deep conditioner.
• Braid your hair in large sections before you go to bed to keep your curls stretched out and stop them from tangling in on each other.  Remember to cover with a silky scarf at night!
• Braids, twists and weaves are a great protective style, to keep your hands out of your hair.  Remember not to braid them too tiny, too tight or leave them in too long!
